Introduction: While Chopin was composing from the age of 7, you only care about the
music he wrote from about the age of 17 (c. 1827). Over 90% of the
music he wrote was for solo piano. Other than that, he completed six
works for piano and orchestra, four chamber works, and 19 Polish art
songs (the songs do not compare to the lieder of Schubert or Schumann).
